Artist's Comments

This was my second attempt at capturing downtown Vancouver before my battery went Kaput.
You have a skyline, cityline, lights, ocean and the emphasis of motion.
It's facing GM Place across the river/ocean.
Yeah. It looked way cooler on my cam.
Oh well. Considering im trying to get the hang of my cam I still like it.

I knew it was Vancouver! Where else in the world do you find those painfully uncomfortable Expo86 chairs?

If you want critique, I would suggest looking into a tripod for night shots. Good job though!

I really like the colors, they read wonderfully and give a nice sense of energy. The one thing I might suggest is since the background is so distorted, to bring the objects in the foreground that are in focus a little more into frame, or more into the light. I know, easier said than done, right? ;) I love the sense of motion in the blur, but that gives the eye a resting point within the piece so that it is not too overwhelmed. But that's just an if you felt like trying it kindof thing. I could be wrong, it might not work at all then. At any rate, I love the direction you took :)
